Welcome to Windsor Playgroup

Windsor Playgroup has a long history in the community - it was formed in 1969 by parents in the area who wished to share child care and resources. Through the following decades the playgroup grew in the Edwardian built Ashley House and then in September 2009 moved upstairs into its current location. We have a well established and stable staff team

Our ethos is governed by the principles of Every Child Matters which say that every child, whatever their background or circumstances, should have the support they need to:

•  be healthy
•  stay safe
•  enjoy and achieve
•  make a positive contribution
•  achieve economic well-being.

In our most recent Inspection by Ofsted, in February 2011, we were rated Good. The report can be found on the Ofsted Site. We have been awarded Five Stars by the Local Authority Environmental Health Inspector. We are supported by BAND (Bristol Association of Neighbourhood Daycare) the Co-operative Development Association and by the Early Years Advisory Team.

The Playgroup is in the process of changing from a Charity managed by Parent Trustees to a Co-operative organisation with places for parents on the Board. We are committed to developing our place in the community and continuing to offer flexible and high quality child care. We look forward to meeting you and your child!

Please note that all places for this academic year 2011/12 are now taken. Please contact us if you would like to visit or make an application with a view to 2012/13. Thank you
